Our good friend and resident Olympic lifting expert, John Filippini, is holding an Olympic lifting meet in Baltimore in February. Below are the details. I encourage those wanting to to compete and everyone to go as a spectator; I’ll definitely be there!
2012 BALTIMORE OPEN
This year’s Baltimore Open weightlifting meet is now open.
We’ll be hosting it this year the weekend of Feb 11 at South Baltimore CrossFit’s new location across the street from M&T Bank Stadium and the entry fee is $45 (plus processing fees). The meet has been growing substantially in recent years (115 entries last year) and we are looking to expand the experience as much as possible. To do that we’re possibly expanding the event to two days depending on ticket sales so that no one has to lift at 9pm at night. Further details are available at the link below. If there are further questions on the meet that are not answered by that page, please of course shoot me an email tojohn@southbaltimorecf.com.

Also, feel free to Johnf at john@southbaltimorecf.com if you would prefer to discuss arranging a clinic like this for your athletes to be hosted at your own gym.
